In this article, I’ll review the automatic roti-making machine I purchased in 2017. It’s been nearly five years, and to date, I’ve made 7,753 rotis with it. The machine tracks the number of rotis via the Rotimatic app.https://timesofireland.com/the-art-of-mindful-eating/

However, a few months ago, the machine started giving me error messages after making a few rotis, so I stopped using it. I felt it was a waste of time and effort to keep calling customer service to resolve the issues. Anyway, after a three-month break, I tried making rotis again to see what errors we got today.

I’ve filled up the flour tank with water and oil.

Heating the pan takes six minutes. Preparing the first roti takes eight to nine minutes, but after that, it takes only two minutes per roti. I prefer the following settings: thickness set to 3 and roast level set to 2 And there we go – another error message. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this issue; it started happening just a few months after I bought the machine, and it’s been like this ever since. Sometimes the machine works, sometimes it doesn’t.

I usually try four or five times, and if it still doesn’t work properly, I contact Rotimatic customer service. To their credit, they’ve always resolved my issues within a day or two since I first purchased the machine in 2017. I haven’t experienced any hardware issues, but the Rotimatic team has consistently fixed my other problems.

One time, when I had guests over, and I wanted to make rotis for them, the machine stopped working. It was incredibly embarrassing. In other words, you can’t entirely rely on this machine, especially if you’re entertaining guests. So, do be cautious of that. In short, Rotimatic needs to improve in several areas: the noise it makes, the machine’s reliability, and, of course, the cost. The price is exceptionally high, and if I ask myself whether I’d spend this amount again if this machine stops working, the answer would be a straight “no.”

That was a quick review of the automatic roti-making machine. I hope it helps you decide whether it’s worth investing in.
